quite simple really, does this combination actually work? Because it's a Crossfire board... but does the card count as SLI or just a single card... because if it's SLI it wont work... obviously lol, any feedback = awesome. Thanks X

Nope, should work fine

Would only need an SLI capable mobo if you intend to run two.

wierd that, because my 3870X2 is recognised as being in crossfire mode by my X38 :S anyway, thanks for the reply dude.

Yeah your motherboard will see it as a single card as it's only taking up one PCI-E slot. I think it's then enabled as SLI (Well SLI-esque - or at least 'seen' as SLI) at driver level. Someone feel free to jump in and correct that though.

no you are correct....you'll only need an SLI board if your running more than 1 physical gfx card
