X38 Maximus Formula (second edition) stock ????

Hi All

What is going on with stock of the x38 Maximus Formula SE?

They seem to becoming very hard to find. OCuk no longer has them in stock at the moment along with quite a few other e-tailers. Was this board limited like the Blitz or are there more on there way?

I was hoping to upgrade to this board when the new 45nm Yorkfield Quads come out but thats starting to look unlikly.

Also are the Maximus Formula ( first edition ) boards going going to go the same way as the SE?
 
"SE" is a special edition with the water block, only a limited number were made - this is why they are hard to find.
 
I'll be very surprised if you manage to find a new one anywhere now. They have been out of production for two months and the last stock in distribution was bought up in mid-december and sold off very quick. Apart from the five I managed to big up a few weeks ago I havent seen a single board for sale at any retailer.
 
Hi, I have one I purchased at the begining of nov. I possibly could be persuaded to let it go it at the right price...

The Maximus Formula Special Edition is identical to the standard version with the exception of the water cooling block.
 
standard version is not a limited edition. It is due to be superseded in a month or so by the Asus Rampage Formula which is the same board with the new X48 chipset.
