Hi all,

Have been having a play with a new x38 mobo I'm testing and I can't seem to get past 470FSB. Here's the skinny:

The board is windows stable at 470FSB with 1.45vcore, stock NB and stock SB. Memory and CPU multi/dividers are lowest possible. However, as soon as I raise the FSB to 475 it won't even post. The LED screen readout says "CPU" which would make me think it was a CPU problem. However, the E6750 is windows stable at 470*8 with no problem.

I have al the typical options disabled...anyone got any ideas?

Hi all. Thanks for the advice. The review is up now so you can find it on XSR. Better now post link as there are some competitors advertising with us :).

It's an MSI board. I attempted upping NB, SB, CPU, FSB Termination voltages and none made any difference. I lowered memory divider, loosened timings and everything. No difference. I also checked to see if it's an FSB hole but no good.

I lowered FSB and raised multi, completely windows bootable so it's a mobo issue.

I think I may have just hit the max of this board, but it seems very strange that the board is benchmark stable at 470 but 475 it won't even post :S.

Edit: Well the review would be online if 1and1 wern't awful hosts...
