X38 Quad GT is it raid 5 capable?
I'm thinking about changing my existing single HDD setup to a 3 disc Raid 5 array to give a boost in speed and dependability.
Is the X38 Quad GT capable of running Raid 5. I have had a look at google to find the answer, but I don't fully get the info I've found. I know the board supports Raid, but I can't find a definate yes to Raid 5. I'm think of using 3 500Gb F1 drives to give me 1Gb of faster storage and then my existing 600Gb Hitachi drive as a media drive, so 4 HDDs and my DVD drive. The board has 6 SATA ports so I'm hoping it'll work.
Any thoughts either way, or better suggestions?
