Afternoon,

Following on from an earlier question about overclocking my CPU I get the impression the my temperatures are way to high. While gaming i'm seeing temps of 50-58ºC on the CPU and >65 on my GPU.

I guess this is partly due to poor airflow in the case (only one rear fan) so with the GPU running hot the CPU stock fan is getting nothing but hot air.

I'll probably get a new case in the future but was thinking about a new cpu cooler. Any recommendations? I'd prefer one that could be swapped onto an intel chip in the future like an i5.

Will this make much difference if the case airflow is an issue?

Thanks

Firstly
Your temps are fine

Secondly
If you want a new cooler, most fit most sockets, what sort of price range are you looking at? you can get a basic aftermarket for around £15, or £25 is next level up kinda thing, £35 for really decent ones, above this its diminishing returns, note a basic aftermarket cooler is still a lot better than a stock one

Could spend upwards of £60 i suppose but if obviously I'd like more bang for my buck.

What would you suggest?...worth while liquid cooling?

Also realised my case actually has a space for a front fan but the HDD will probably screw its efficiency

As I say, above £5 is diminishing returns imo, thwe 212 suggested above is good, as is Gelid Tranquilo, or for a bit more a Titan Fenrir Evo
Itd still be worth putting a front intake on, even if HDD is blocking it
Also as above if you dont have already add top/rear exhausts if viable
