Trying to assemble a new ITX PC for a mate.
My first question is regarding the PSU and power supply.
On the mobo there is a 24 pin socket and a 8 pin.
From the PSU we have a 24 PIN connector and 4 pin that comes off from this cable.
Do I need an 8 pin for the other connector or will the four pin suffice?
I don't see anywhere with the cables that have been supplied with the PSU an 8 pin connector.
Thanks

This is an AM4 build with a 2700x. The internet suggests that with a CPU over a certain wattage you need the 8 pin otherwise it wont supply it with enough wattage.
The point being, the PC doesn't turn on.

The issue that we have is that we don't have a 4+4 pin connector. The only connector we have is a single 4 pin that comes off the main power adapter.
The PSU is a Silverstone SX650-G 650 Watt Full Modular SFX PSU/Power Supply. It says it comes with a 4+4 but mine doesn't.

Silverstone have confirmed the cable is indeed missing.
