Basically as above, it is brand new! It doesn't matter which USB port I use, however it is less noticeable when the back light is turned all the way up.

So does anyone know if this is a common problem with these sticks?

I haven't programmed the MFD to do anything yet and I am running the latest drivers from the Saitek website. I assume this is a hardware fault and is worthy of an RMA, I just thought I would see if anyone could give me some insight. :)

Ahh I have seen this but put it down to the game, I have not played FSX and the display does it all the time, and never turns the back light off completely. Is it the same for you?

If it is driver related then brilliant, because I really don't want to have to go through an RMA.

Have you tried the fix on the page and if so did it work?

DSR?

Hmm the stick seems to have developed a rattle, so something is loose inside of it, I will have to return this.

edit: Just to add the box I received was not factory sealed and the site I ordered from (not OCUK) had the price mixed up between the normal and pro version of the x52 (now fixed), I am starting to think they realised and sent me a returned stick.
