X5650 on Gigabyte EX58-UD5 possible?

Am still finding it hard to justify changing my I7-920 @ 3.8Ghz, although SATA3 would be good for my SSDs.
On the Gigabyte site it doesn't list the X5650 as being compatible but other X58 motherboards around the same era seem to be ok.

Anyone have this combo working ok?

It should work tbh,I know gigabyte have good Xeon support just be sure to flash to latest BIOS first

It works fine just update the BIOS - had both X5650 and X5675 in mine.

I'm also running a X5650 fine too at 4Ghz. It's fab

Its working fine on my UD5. Had it at 4Ghz but kept getting blue screens so back to the drawing board.
