X5677 and Asus Rampage 2 Extreme.

Hello,

I'd like to know if the Xeon X5677 is compatible with the Asus Rampage 2 Extreme motherboard. Here's a picture of the motherboard so you can see what i'm working with:

I also found this which lists all of the compatible processors with the board. It doesn't include the X5677, but it does include the X5675 and the X5680. I have a feeling that they may have missed out the X5677 since it can't be too different to those ones.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
The X5677 isn't in quite the same bracket as the X5675 and X5680: the former is a quad core and the latter two are hex-cores. If the board supports hex-core Westmere-EP Xeons, it'll surely support quad-core Westmere-EP Xeons so you should be fine.
