Just updated my bios via usb drive and now get 4 post beeps with one being longer than the rest. It boots straight into the desktop and there's no option to get into the bios, just black screens when I hit the delete key. Only changes I made after the update were turning on my xmp profile and enabling resizeable bar. Any ideas about how to get back into the bios?

this is the beep code result for what your explaining, but if you get into the bios you may be able to fix it: https://www.google.com/search?q=gig...g2MzA0ajBqMagCALACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Assuming you're using Windows 10 or 11, goto settings > system > recovery > advanced startup > restart now

When you get to the blue screen select Troubleshoot > Advanced > UEFI Firmware settings > restart, and it should reboot back to the bios, disable fastboot

I can game as normal which should mean the GPU is working? That restart didn't work for me but if I take out the cmos battery i might be able to get in. If I do get in what can I do from the bios to correct it? The last time I was in there it said something like bios has been updated, set the desired settings and then just started with the 4 beeps instead of the usual one. I surely can't just ignore it even though it it does boot into the desktop? I've got a new gpu coming next week so this ***** is a disaster. Maybe should try a different bios update if I can get back into the bios

I have a 3700x. I updated to the f40d. It was the newest bios version available. I can hear after the update that the fans are going up and down more. That's a CPU thing I think as it's going up and constantly in speed and the fans are matching it. There's some setting in the bios that I need to change to make the CPU stop going up and down in speed?

What was your previous BIOS version - just out of curiosity!?

My previous version was f4. That was down as sometime in 2019.
