So my system has been running fine for years with no problems but recently I upgraded the ram. Here is my specs:

Xeon X5660 - stock
Gigabyte UD5
MSI 780
Samsung 850
3x2gb Kingston

And then I purchased a 12gb kit of Corsair Dominator, installed it alongside my Kingston ram and now have 18gb, everything is working fine but every maybe 10th reboot i get a BSOD Machine Check Exception.

Any ideas? my guess is because I have all 6 slots populated.

When you use all 6 sticks there's a chance QPI doesn't get enough power.
Check with AIDA if in the memory XMP profile there's anything about Memory controller voltage. Mine 1600mhz Kingston Genesis, saying 1.4v for Memory controller. I know it's bit higher than Intel specs,, so i set QPI VTT to 1.355. No memory issues.

As above, it's because you've occupied all 6 slots. Remove the Kingston stuff, and just run the 12GB.

If you want to keep all the RAM, double check the voltages and speeds match, and remove or modify any overclocks you've got

All my ram is running 1333mhz and 1.5v, no XMP enabled as it never worked with my Xeon.

The thing thats weird is i have never had a BSOD once im in windows, its only when doing a fresh startup maybe 1/10th of the time.
