Right the last time this happened I reseated the CPU and all was well but this time it hasn't worked.

Basically I get nothing but a flashing LED on the back of my sapphire PSU. I've taken the system apart, tried a different PSU, swapped gfx cards and cleared the CMOS etc etc.

But still no joy, any ideas?

Cheers.

Can you try the power supply on a different PC? My gut feeling is it is the PSU.

Are there any bent pins? If reseating the cpu worked last time (same fault?) then this would be a likely place to look.

If after the above fails, you are absolutely sure that the PSU is good, your only option is to RMA the mobo. I've built around 30 UDR3 builds and they are a pretty decent board, but I have also RMA'd one which overclockers sent back under warranty by return of post. That refused to power up at all.

Right so I try my spare PSU again this morning a Corsair hx 650, and the power flashes up for a second and goes off. I try turning it on a few times and then it fires up. So I put my old PSU in again and it's also fine and works again!
