Main uses are for photoshop, vray rendering, autocad and sketch up.
So this is what i'm planning on getting;
AMD x6 1055t 95w
ASUS M4A88TD-M EVO
G-Skill 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz CL7 (seen single 4gb sticks though? at 1333MHz and CL9)
CoolerMaster 600W Silent Pro Modular PSU
2 x Samsung 1tb F3 (thinking of raid 1 for read speed increase, although not sure on this)
Lian Li v351 case - i like it!

going to put my own 4670 and dvd optical in for now.

So anything you would change, especially want comments on the memory :)

Obviously if you do buy 4GB sticks instead of 2GB's it will allow you more possibility to upgrade to even more RAM if you so desire.

Also just to point out RAID-1 wont give any speed increase. You are thinking of RAID-0 ;)

the reasons for not getting it is the lower timing and MHz ( no idea on how much this will affect things tbh) and the added cost ( works out as cheap per gb tho)

I thought since you have 2 disks with the same data on the pc could read from both making it faster?

cheers for the reply

No what RAID-1 does is makes a exact copy of 1 hard disk on the other in case one hard disk fails.

RAID-0 is when you have 2 or more disks and the files are split across the disks to increase read and write times

hmm thought RAID 1 could actually achieve the same performance as RAID 0 for read speeds (load balancing). Writing is a bit more problematic.

In any case, isn't that dependent on the drivers / RAID provider / OS?
