Would the above be good enough to use on a 24" monitor for Auto CAD application?

No gaming just the Auto CAD stuff.

Along with 2gb RAM and 3ghz C2D processor?

Probably best to check the rec spec for the s/w and see what is important to run it. You may find they recommend more MEM or CPU power over GFX?
