X64 problems

I've recently installed X64 as I heard it will solve a few memory problems I was having in Maya 7.

Which it has but I'm having a lot of problem just browsing the web and watching quicktime movies.

I have tried installing Apple's version of Quicktime, it installs but when I try to run it nothing happens. So i've installed Quicktime alternative and K lite codec pack which enables me to watch .mov movies in Windows Media Classic.

I can't even open the apple/quicktime website without an Buffer Overrun Message which then crashes FireFox and all of the IE's and web browsers just seem to crash at random.

Itunes won't install becuase of a not compatible message but X64 sticky says that it is.

I remember using the beta version and not having any of these problem.

Could it be a duff install?

Hi,

Thanks for the help.

I gave up in the end, I tried the lastest version, an older version and Quicktime alternative.

I've also gone back to XP I got fed of web browsers crashing due to buffer overrun messages. Which meant I couldn't even look at the web.

The beta version ran a lot better than the final version.
