I have heard about several powerfull integrated graphic card like Geforce 6150, ATI Express 200. They are said to be like X300. Now have we have integrated one like X700. I have used integrated GC before and it is that the CPU seems to run very much when some graphic action is performed, even like moving a Windows fast. Of course they rae just Via solution, I ahve never touch some as powerfull as mentioned above.

My question is how those X300 or X700 level integrated GC would affect CPU and if the CPU is consumed too much that it affect other operation, should the integrated GC be assumed to be of X700 level. Also, would Dual core CPU be much better in this situation :) ( one for controlling GC and one core for main activities, seems to be cheap solution).

The graphics chip handles all the 2D/3D work, it usually uses system memory though. Having a dual core isn't going to help you unless the game allows software rendering (not many do anymore) and even then I doubt it'd have enough grunt to make a modern game playable.

As for how fast the X700 is, will have to wait for the benchmarks ;)
