X79 Build

Hi Guys,

About to order some parts to build a x79 system, I use it for gaming plus virtual machines/testing for work plus the usual media stuff, I would go for a 2600k but I don't think I'm going to be able to upgrade for the next 2 years (wedding) so would like to get as good as I can. Oh and I'd like it to look pretty cool as I've never had a "nice looking" Pc
I have little O/C experience and would like to give it a try, what do you guys think of the intel tuning warranty?

this is what I'm thinking of,

cpu 3930k + h100

mobo either Asus Rampage IV Formula Asus P9X79 PRO Gigabyte X79-UD7 Gigabyte X79-UD5

Ram Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) red or black depending on board I'l up the memory next month

PSU Corsair HX 750W ATX Modular mostly because of the 7 year warranty

Case 600t

Any suggestions tips or comments please

P.S I seen the video on youtube of the gigabyte overheating and I think I read somewhere that its because of the h100 not blowing air over the socket and power, do these board also suffer the same?

I'm going to be buying in stages, I already have working PC now crappy old amd phenom 9550, So My plan was to buy cpu/mobo/ram case and maybe psu now then buy the rest next month and the gpu the month after if that makes sense.

What's the Kingston like for reliability? never owned any Kingston ram before,

Not sure on the case, Never had a windowed case and quite fancy one this time, thus the 600t.

could I get away with a 750watt or do you think I should go with the 850 xfx?

I'm probably going to save for a single 7970 or maybe the nvidia 670/680 will be out by then but will only be a single card I suspect.

Ive heard about the phantek, Do they have the bigger mount? which works better on the 3930k.

what do you guys think of the intel tuning warrinty?

also whats better in a very hot room (in summer) h100 or air cooling/phantek? The pc will be on the inside wall of a house in the attic so it gets very hot!

The reason I wanted the asus because it has the noobie friendly overclock tools... and I've never personally had a issue with asus boards.

so in a hot room the phantek would be better or worse then the h100?
cleeecooo thats too much ££ for me plus I probably wouldn't know where to start..
