X79 Overclocking Guide

1.75v is fine on RAM for 24/7 yeah. 1.9 for benching short periods is also no problem.

Try 9-12-12-21 1t 5-124-7936-10-6-2-6-6-auto-7 for perf.

I have good Ivy E doing 5ghz on air no problem. 1.4v should be max core for 24/7 with 1.25 VTT and VCCSA.

The issue is a cold boot one clearly. Have you tried tuning VCCSA and VTT voltages. These are the ones for the IMC on the cpu and often help at cold boot.

Also if your using any settings at auto the MB will tune these for you. They may well be set slacker at 2133 than 2000 meaning cold boot disappears. With them set slacker performance usually suffers.

Stability just use your PC for your applications. Dont mess about for ages dialing down core volts again and again and again. Have fun using your PC unless of course the volts are like 1.4v +

VTT and VCCSA you can go to around 1.2 on both no probs.

CPU Z is always reliable for me providing you use latest version.

Glade you fixed it though and your correct to back off when you need so much extra for stability the chip is saying its at its limits.

He jsut mean manually set them teh same.

TREFI 7936 is best balance.

Otherwise thats pretty tight timing. Maybe 9-11-10? pr TWCL 5 or thirds 3,3,0,0,4 or 3,3,0,0,3.

Not much to improve on. Good tuning.

What's your physics score Matt in firestrike???

Got mine up 500ish pts running ram at 2450 8-12-8-20 (these may do cas 7 at this speed but not sure how much I can push the volts, these settings are at 1.8v) but this is in dual channel, need to source 2 more sticks of these so I can run quad but finding some is going to be difficult :(

@8Pack, what are max volts for PSC with high perf fans for bench??
Also get code 01 on board when switching ram, think the boards warping as test bench is acrylic and that bows from the weight. What is 01 code for??

01 RAM cant reach frequency with those settings or IMC is struggling to be trained.

PSC 1.85
