X800 GTO2 corrupt help

Hi,

Im after a bit of help before i go out and buy a new card. Was watching tv through my media centre last night when all of a sudden it went black and the bsod appeared, and then the system rebooted, no big deal i thought.

problem is now I have checkerboard type lines and numerous Graphical glitches. I've checked and it isnt overheating and i've checked the heatsink etc and the card doesnt have any obvious damage. Swapped monitors, checked the card is seated correctly.

Does anyone have any ideas or is the card dead?

It's likely a capacitor or some other component has worn out as it's quite an old card, you could try underclocking with something like msi afterburner (if it even supports a card that old), might bring it back to stability.
