oweneades said:I think you should be able to do 600/600 on your card as long as its the R480 core (RED PCB model)
oweneades said:(So basically a X850XT PE in drag)
I managed 6,775 in 3Dmark05 with 16 pipelines, core 564mhz, memmory 609mhz, i set dynamic fan speeds but temperature never exceeds 55C (80% fan) even after several hours on call of duty 2.
For some reason the fan speed on my card didnt increase proportionally to temperature when i let the card take care of the fan speed which restricted my clocking. But with dynamic fan speeds its fine.
my spec:
- AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego 90nm (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4000BNBOX) (CP-120-AM)
- Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-111-AS)
- Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 (MY-079-CS)
- Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO² 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-101-SP)
- Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 320GB 3200JD SATA 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-045-WD)
james.miller said:a lot of gto2's maxed out at ~530/620. there werent that many uber clockers.
oweneades said:If its an R480 core i should OC higher than that
james.miller said:why? most of the gto2's used speed binned r480's - cores which dont clock as well as the x850xt/pe's.
