X800 Pro - Not posting

right, this card has been giving me trouble for a while, it`s looks brand new but doesnt work.

this is what i`ve done. i`ve put it in a pci-e 16x slot, connected the power cable and then turned the mains on.

the machine then turns itself on, the fan spins, a few seconds later theres a beep of sorts, like what a floppy drive makes, then the system restarts. it doesnt post at all. i`m so frustrated. the PSU is brand new.

anyway to fix the card, an ATI x800 Pro.

The heatsink is on the processor correctly and all fans are plugged in and working?

hi, rest of specs,

SanSun Arctic 500W Modular PSU - Brand new, modular by "arctic"
Pentium D 820 2.8ghz dual core processor,
1gb ddr2 ram
sata hdd`s,


it`s a dell 5150/e510 system, i`ve been trying to get this card to work in this machine for a couple days now, to no avail, all plugs are fine, the fan on the card works fine, cables all plugged in.

Was the card working before? or is it new? If latter myabe a DOA and you can RMA-it

i dont know, and i can`t check in any of the other machines i have as none are pci-e, i`ve filled in the rma form on the ati site, but heard nothing abck from them.
