i'm thinking of getting crossfire, but i'm wondering about the performance figures and also whether i can get away with running two x800's or x850's without a crossfire cable? also would it work in a Asus A8N SLI Deluxe?

EDIT: it would be ideal if someone that has or had a x800/x850 could let me know there increase or dare i say it decrease!
