Right ive recently aquired an X800 XT from Sherbert* its a Club3D one he got from one of the other members from here. ive got the invoice and stuff from overclockers for it, but as it was bought in 04 its out of warrenty and the likes.
the card was heavily artifacted, pratically unviewable display.
i tried flashing the bios on it with a X800 Pro Bios, as thats what it says on the box that it is, but the card says XT and ive looked online and its most definatly an X800 XT Vivo.
but yeah, the X800 Pro Bios has fixed the artifact problem compleatly but the drivers (offical or omega) wont work with the card (i assume because they try to run it like an x800 pro when its the xt) this makes me think that theres some sort of broken pipelines somewhere in there, the XT uses all 16, the pro only 12 i think. but the bios hacks to get the pro using all 16 (i used that bios and it was still fine but driver issues etc)
is there a program for say testing which pipeline (or what ever) is broken and then editing the bios so it doesnt use it maybe....
i assume some of you will just tell me to buy a new card etc etc this is on offer blar blar blar...
cant afford a new one. trying to get this to work is a much cheaper option for me as its qutie a bit better than my X700 hehe. any help would be nice thanks.
