Ok I'm running this now on its stock cooler, have always ran it on water where max temp never higher than 45c, now it idles at that :p

Whats safe temp for these?

Hitting 70c while gaming for couple mins :(
 
70's fine I believe, just checking on my X850 now but it's idling at 48 (on a better cooler but running at X850XT speed) :P.
 
yer tbh cooler that comes with this looks really cheap, running artifact scanner to see what max temp is atm, so far 10mins and its running at 71-72c

That's fine - mine topped out at 73degC on a 3dMark06 test. If you want to replace the cooler then the Arctic is nice ( although some swear by the Zalman ). As you can see the Arctic does a decent enough job given your running a X800 at a slower speed than my 850 and only 2 degree's difference.
 
ran it half hour an stayed around 71c so all is good.

selling my watercooling off and this card to try n get better one while im skint.

its surprising how much difference water makes on gcard, for me it was a 30c difference in temps :eek:
