the powercolor uses the R480 core, but as far as i know its not possible to gain any extra pipelines, at least i havnt heard of anyone successfully doing so.
i have one, pretty happy with it, does the job anyway.
i'm sure if it was possible to unlock it'd be a hell of a lot more popular card.
