X800XL

Hello All,
Im looking for a Graphics Card. I had a 6600 PCI-Express. But i want some thing which i can play Counter Strike Source Battlefield 2 On High Settings at 1280x1024. My budget is £100-£115. I was looking at the X800GTO aswell. As the X800XL is on special offer. If stock ran out would the X800GTO be a good choice ?....

The GTO would not be as good, however if you flash it with a new bios (which unlocks the pipes) it will be equal. The GTO's have much more overclocking headroom as well; the X800XLs suck at overclocking.

Isnt it the GTO2 which mods ?....

just the gto2 that flashes

i have the gto... and it definitely doesnt unlock extra pipelines.

so go for x800gto2 if you can

Is it all the Normal GTO's which unlock or is it certain ones. Maybe the PowerColor ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-054-PC). Would that unlock ?....

The GTO2 is more expensive so go for the X800XL or if that runs out then get the X850XT (like a modded GTO2 really - a modded & clocked GTO2 performs like an X850XTPE) for a little more

The X800XL is a good card - it performs on par with a 6800GT

if i had the money for the cheapest x800xl which is 135, i'd beg, borrow or steal the extra 18 quid for this x850xt....
