I've got a X800XTPE at the mo thinking about upgrading to a X1900XT.

This month I have been mostly playing... Oblivion. Will I see much difference? Is it much faster?

Cheers :)

Yep. That's a fair old step up. Not only will you be getting a card that's about 2 or 3 times more powerful it's got all the latest features including SM3.0 and the ability to run high quality HDR with AA.

AGP, no point then, not unless you can transfer your CPU/Ram over to a PCI-E mobo, as the only card that will be worth going to on AGP is the 7800 GS+ Silent (7900 GT), but for the price of that you can get an x1800/x1900 AND a PCI-E mobo to go with it, which are much faster cards. :)

In Oblivion it will make a big difference.

To be honest on the AGP platform, the x800xt-pe isn't a bad performer. The only card to offer significantly better performance is the 7800GS+, which weighs in around £230.

I'd save your pennies and get a new mobo and PCI-E card personally.

Something to consider maybe the X1800XT/X1900XT 256MB and a new PCIE motherboard. Both will blow you away compared to your X800 and should get it all for the price of the X1900XT 512MB (if that's what you were going for ;)).

Just my two cents.
