I'm thinking of upgrading my 2nd pc which currently has an AGP X800XTPE but i'm thinking about getting a new mb and ram and proc on the cheap, is there much of an upgrade in a sub £60 PCIe graphics card ?

or should i stick with my x800 and get the asrock duel sata2 motherboard to house my new core2duo chip and old ram.

i was thinking something along the lines of a:

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI for £61.09 inc vat
OR
OcUK GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI for £58.74 inc vat

Would either of these be much of an upgrade ?

Whats the spec of your 2nd PC? if the aim of the upgrade is mainly to improve games then might be worth looking at an AGP x1950pro. Would save a lot of hassle.

2nd pc right now is an AMD 3700 with 2Gb geil ram and a decent mb(can't remember which) but i've never had much luck overclocking it at all so its at stock right now.

And yeah its for gaming mostly City of Heroes using a friends account at the same time so i can help level his toons.. or level mine with his account :P

Although part of the reason for upgrading was so i had spares / 2nd pc that i can test parts in from my main pc if anything fails. (main pc is in my sig below)

i'd go with the Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 and new processor (2180 preferably with the higher multiplyer), use old gfx card and memory.
