Hi guys, i just need a bit of advice. I brought and X850XT from overclockers a few months ago and its been fine until recently while playing any game as soon as the card hits 50 degrees and above it starts to artifact badly.

Any solutions anyone?

EDIT : Its the X850 XT (Powercolour) AGP card

Welcome to the forums. 50C or above(up to say 90C) shouldn't be a problem for the card, is it overclocked in any way? If it is then set it back to stock values, is the heatsink and fan making good contact with the chip? This might unfortunately be a case where you have to RMA the card but it is within warranty so if you explain the situation to OcUK they should be happy to help :)

Well i havent attempted to overclock the card at all, thats why the problem has caught me off guard a bit, so how would i go about RMA'ing the card?

I've never had to RMA but you will probably have to phone up OcUK or use the webnotes system to request an RMA number and then you will need to repackage the graphics card as best you can, hopefully you still have the original packaging so that you can send it back as it was supplied.

I had exactly the same problem, with exactly the same card running at stock speeds.
Bought it back in March, worked fine until the last few weeks and started to artifact like mad.

I posted on here with the problem where everyone told me it was a RAM issue. I checked each RAM stick and it still happened, so I bought a cheapo mobo.
The new mobo wouldn't post with 3 out of the 4 RAM sticks, so with only one in I tried again and it still had artifact issues.
So I put in my 9800 pro and that works perfectly fine.

So I took the X850XT back to OcUK and RMA'd it.

Must be a problem with the PowerColor cards.
