I have recently upgraded my graphics card to a Radeon X850 XT and it works okay apart from when I run some games and all benchmarks
In 3D Mark 05 it got to a test and just froze and so I had to do a soft reset and in 3D Mark 2001, at the start of the benchmark I got a 'fatal hardware' error with the following info posted in an error log - "FATAL ERROR: failed to validate material".
I wonder if it is anything to do with me having all the options below enabled by default?

On my previous SMARTGART screen (when I used to have an X800 Pro), I only had the one option 'Fast write' which was on and never caused me any instability.

I can't understand why I have more options available now?
Perhaps my X800 Pro didn't support the extra features 'AGP Read and Write' and also 'PCI Read and Write'?
Should I disable the 4 options listed above to see if that cures the problem?
Would disabling the above 4 options drastically affect the performance of my graphics card?
p.s. As the card is an AGP card, I can't quite get my head around the fact that 'PCI Read and Write' are options!
Please advise me someone
