Hello again all,

Just wondering what the min PSU I should have with this card?

CPU is a X2 3800+ (939) and PSU is an Enermax 370W

Cheers in advance!

Edit: Didn't want to start a new thread so thought I would ask in here, will the 370W run the dual core as well? Both the GFX card & chip are gonna be new in my bro's pc

Cheers again!

Might be worthwhile trying one of the many PSU power calculators that are around (try GOOGLE for this). Though they obviously only give a ball park idea.

As to your particular case. Depends a lot on what else you have in your PC. The Enermax seem to be rated as a decent power supply.

I ran an overclocked X800 pro for a year and a half on a decent quality 300W!

The easy answer is "suck it and see".

Shouldn't be any real problem, I'm comfortably running a 6800GT and an A64 with 3-4 hard drives plus various other odds and ends on a 400w so I doubt the requirements are all that different for the X2. :)

Cheers guys!

I did have a look at those PSU calculaters and it was very close to it so was just seeing what everyone else was thinking.

Put the order in for my GFX card so it's all too late if it doesn't work now!

Ordered a PCI-E power adapter as well because the 370W doesn't have a PCI-E power adapter.

Hopefully all should go well! We will see on Thurs! Cheers again OCUK!!!

I ran mine, single core 3800+, X850XT PE, 1 IDE Driver, 1 DVD-RW, 2GB RAM on a 350W PSU that came with my case. An xBlade it was, shocking block of plastic, but ran fine non-the-less.

So I would imagine your Enermax 370W will be fine.

As already said suck it and see.

Depends what rails the enermax has, I had a Q-Tec 500w (dreadful dangerous psu) that wouldn't power a X800XTPE and a P4 3.4EEE, yet a 400w antec did and had no problems when I added a Koolance Exos 2 to the rig.
