When I play games my motherboard beeps at me and it seems to be when it's under heavy load, but I also get the warning popup from the catalyst control panel telling me my graphics card is running at high temperature.

It was running at 75 degrees C, is this too hot?
 
I get the drivers pop up at 100+ degrees, then lowers the clock speeds to cool it down. but mine ran really hot wen i first got it, so i download ATI Tray Tool and edited the fan speeds its now like 10 degrees lower wen gaming :D
 
The set fan speeds on the x850's are poor mine only sun at 14% until it hit 85'c then speeded up. Use Ati Tray Tools to change the fan set points and that'll sort out your probs, mine only hits 60'c under heavy load after I changed the fan set points.
 
This is strange, cus the fan failed on my X800XT-PE, and according to Tray tools, the temp reached 100c.. yet i didnt get a warning? :(
 
X850XT's run very hot anyway and it's nothing to worry about. I did a search on Google and found other people reporting high temps, 90+ degrees. My old one used to beep all the time playing Half Life 2 and aftermarket cooler sorted it out with a bit of airflow coming in from the front of the case.
