x870e asrock phantom nova

Not sure if this will help anyone out using this board, but for a while I've been having odd sound drops momentarily. I uninstalled the Realtek drivers and just using the default windows driver and I've had zero issues, having done some research it seems the Realtek drivers are riddled with issues and can cause latency issues with sound. Might help someone out who is also having issues.

Had this happen a couple of times, thanks for the info on the drivers, if it happens again will try the default windows ones.

It's been a while since I've been on the forum. How's those who has one of these boards getting on with it?

Asrock have had a rough time with the X3D destructions on the 9000 series of them, not been a concern for me as l use a Phoenix 8000 one.

Still happy with my choice of board, it's been running fine and does what l need it to do. Nice visuals also with the look of and the argb.

Personally l think it's a great MB for the money, l guess though that has little meaning for those that have experienced ruined CPU's and board because of the problems widely reported with it and X3D combination.

Bit off topic but just waiting to see what AMD have lined up for their next desktop APU release, and if specs and price ok (worth it to upgrade from my current one) will be dropping one of them in the Nova.
