fitted my lian li riser cable for the vertical gpu mount to my new gigabyte aorus elite wifi7 to find out it gives black screen. had to dismantle the vertical mount and just put gpu straight into the motherboard to post screen. nightmare.

I ordered two mounts when i did mine. Turns out good job as one was faulty
think my riser cable is pcie 3.0 where i was trying it in the 5.0/4.0 slot. i tried the one below it but that was 4.0 and still didnt post i gave up after that and just took the vertical mount off. i think the very bottom slot ( which i didnt try) was 3.0, i guess i need new riser cable if i want put gpu back to vertical. im wondering now if that ever effected my fps.

PCIE 5.0 riser cables are still very expensive, I ditched my old Lian Li PC-06SX (gen3 riser) and went with a new case altogether.

In your BIOS, you might be able to set the top PCIE 16X slot to PCIE3.0.
