Hey guys. I'm just about to build a x99 based workstation. This is my first chance to have a play with the 2011 platform.

Am I right in saying anything above 2400mhz RAM frequency means the BCLK will automatically adjust to 125 up from the base 100?

The guides I've found so far are somewhat lacking or go on the assumption everyone is running their RAM at 3000mhz.

I have my eye on the 32gb Corsair CL14 2400mhz kit.

Is it worth going for a kit faster than 2400mhz or will the difference and hassle in regards to the above strap stability make it not worth it? The timings on the 2400mhz kit seem pretty good.

I want to do some overclocking on the CPU without worrying about RAM stability.

The main function of the workstation will be Adobe CC - mainly AE.

Thanks

I was under the impression 2133, 2400, 2600, 2666 normally use a 100 BCLK and 2800 & 3000 use a 125 BCK.

However beyond that I believe 3200 uses a 100 BCLK but the high speed ram can be problematic depending on platform.
