Hi

I'm new here, so hello everyone.

As the title says, I'm looking build an X99 system, and the fact that my old EVGA 460 GTX gasped it's last the other day, gave me a really good excuse to get started, rather than just keep pressing my nose against the window, drooling ;).

Some of these questions may seem either Dumb or "Jeez, you really don't know" sort of things, but things seem to have changed quite a bit in the six years since I built my last rig, so bear with me, please.

OK, to said questions
1./ I currently have an early Antec 1200 Case, will it be suitable to fit the Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme EATX that I have in to it ?.

2./ I currently have a Thermaltake Toughpower 700W PSU, is this of any use in the new build, or do I need an up to date PSU ?. ( Note, I don't plan to go SLI just yet )

3./ Can someone point me in the right direction to an Idiot's Guide to the Crucial differences between SSD's and Normal Hard Drives ?, and are SSD's really worth the money, just yet ?.

4./ My old rig used just SATA cables, I would like to transfer everything from my old HD, is this going to be relatively easy ?, considering everything is now on SATA 3.

As I said, some of these may seem a bit dumb, but I'd like to get it right first time rather than having to keep going back.
Many thanks for looking, and all help will be greatly appreciated

1)What version of the Antec 1200 is it? They've done 3 of them. The X99 boards are mostly ATX so they'll fit (the EATX ones won't I dont think). Its just if you want the front ports to be USB3.
2)I'm running X99 on a 750W myself so that shouldn't be any issue.
3) Depends on how much space you need. The price these days its a no brainer to use them. If its performance then you go with a Samsung SM951. Little pricey but will make the most of the M2 port. Most people have a 512GB SSD then a 3-4TB drive for storage. But it all comes down to how much space you need. No reason why you can't run a 256gb ssd to keep the price down then have a big drive in for storage.
4) SATA3 supports SATA 1 + 2 so its easy to copy the stuff over.
