Hi,

I have a X99 deluxe and after having updated to the latest bios 3402 from a very old version and I've had problems shutting down i.e. it doesn't, lights and fans stay on, no monitor output, they appears to be some disk activity. Starting up is pretty unreliable sometimes fine, sometimes sticks on the Asus logo screen, sometimes get the overclock failed message (not o/c set!!).

Any ideas where to start on this? Downgrade bios, any fancy new power settings to check?

Just go back to your old Bios if it was rock solid I think. Had similar issues with the X99 EWS, dipped my toes into a new BIOS, did not pan out and back to an older rock solid one.

I would just double check and default any BIOS settings and clear the CMOS and see if it helps resolve things.
