x99 Micro-Atx Build Idea

would anyone out there be able to tell me if the following build has any potential issues? anything you'd replace?

the basics i've chosen are:

Corsair Air 240 Case
i7-5820K
Corsair H100i CPU Cooler
EVGA Micro 2 Mobo
16GB DDR4-2400 Memory
512gb SSD
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB HYBRID
EVGA 850W PSU


it'll be my first time small-factor build - i'm looking for the potential to put in another 980ti next year so would the power/cooling be enough + would I have enough space for those hybrid cards?

The thing with an Air 240 is, with a matx board, you can't put fans in the bottom blowing up to the GPU. That aside, I built my girlfriend new pc in one last month and it was perfect to build in. (she has an ITX mobo, so bottom mounted fans are no issue.)

are you sure? I must've gone through the 'air 240 owners club' thread on overclockers.net twice and pretty sure I saw some single gpu setups with 120mm fans on the bottom blowing up....

it's kind of a moot point anyway with me looking at the hybrid card anyway ;)

I'm almost settled on this now but may switch out the mobo as it's not got rave reviews

I knew about the height/clearance next to the window so will watch out for that one. From what i've seen the evga hybrid is close to reference dimensions but will double check

as for the heat situation, that's an interesting point - x99 and 5820k is only £150/200 more than devils canyon. would you recommend going that route instead with this case?

No worries I have the OCUK 970GTX and the cable as they come out of hte power connectors need to be pushed over as they are in contact with window.

Really would love to know why they stopped putting the power connectors on the ends of the cards like they use to do.

I think the latest card that still does is the nano fury, or at least the one I saw reviewed. Agree it would be better in this case!
 
i've edited it out of my top post, would be nice to have a mods opinion on this unless i've missed something in the board faq?
