Hey all, hoping someone can shine a light on what's going on here.

the kit:
5930K
asus x99 Sabertooth (bios updated to 1901)
16GB corsair ddr4 3000c15 (tried all and one stick)
980tis
etc etc.

I've just built it out of case as I'll be w/c it later so this is just for testing.

with defaults it boots and posts fine.

the issues:

when I load the XMP 3000 profile it doesn't post and the MEMOK! led remains lit. I can have the xmp on and lower the speed to 2500 on the ram and it still boots.

also the ram voltage doesn't ever seem to change, It's constantly at 1.2v, XMP doesn't alter it and when I try to set it manually the number appears in the right hand box in yellow but after rebooting the left value still reads 1.2.... I even tried to lower it to 1.15 just to see if I could change it but nope... doesn't want to.

what am I missing/doing wrong here? thought xmp was supposed to just work out the box like it did on my previous 3 builds :p

(I did also run mem test for one pass quickly and it didn't fail in that time)

oh also the TUF detector app doesn't seem to work on my note3 or oneplus2, it loads up the app when connected but just shows the TUF logo and never changes....

So a few things, I tested over clocking the CPU and I could do that via the ratio and the strap on problem, xmp profile loads but only when I manually lower the frequency to sub 2666mhz. Still won't boot with ram over that and for the life if me I can't get the dram voltage to be anything other that 1.2, no matter what I set.

Spoke to Asus support....said I need to submit a webnote but can't till I t home as need serial n all that.

Spoke to ocuk on the phone and shed a little light saying that if be pushed to get 3000 anyways as its all oc above 2133. Which I was a bit miffed about as why past for 3000 if there's only a remote chance of achieving it :( granted it should have better chance at bring stable closer to that than say 2666 ram but still. Also said it might be applying the dram volts but it only shows default in BIOS.... Not sure about that but I'll install windows tonight to try and check.

Anyone have any ideas about this ram voltage then and also the tuf detective? I know there must be a few with the x99 sabertooth boards out there :p

Hey I have same board but using Teamgroup Vulcan, unfortunately I'm not at home for a few weeks so I'd check my setup, I enabled xmp on mine and had no issues. But I have no clue what settings etc are as I didn't bench yet. But planning doing some testing as I was asked on my project log.

Which BIOS version are you running btw?

I've updated the BIOS to 1901 and did try rolling back to 18xx incase it was an update issue but problem persists. What speed was the xmp profile rated at for you kit, 3000?

Cool cool, I'll try reflashing and seating everything, clear the CMOS and start again. Did just read someone on an older Asus mobo had to change the dram volts with +/- rather than typing it in..... Seems a bit of a silly limitation to still have on a mobo but alas I'll give it a go.

EDIT: sent an email off to Asus support with pics to see if they can shed any light on the issue. http://i.imgur.com/GBr4FaP.jpg
image shows the TUF detective just being stuck on the logo screen
2 pics of the memok light and message after
the XMP profile in the biso after the filed boot, note the lowered speed to get to boot and 1.2 volts
then me setting the XMP profiles ram to 2500MHz and to 1.35v, can see the 2500MHz in the HW monitor on the right but the voltage is still only 1.2 despite having my user inputted values there.

Just to update/close this thread.

Ocuk tested it and they couldn't change the ram volts either so replaced the mobo and tested again and worked no problem. Got it home and posted with xmp first time no problem with correct volts :D
