I recently recieved my third gtx 980. But once I installed it, the motherboard would not post. Pushing the power button caused the led on my h100i to flash on for a half a second and then turn off. I thought it would be short circuiting somewhere, and so I breadboarded the computer. These are my specs:
Asus Rampage V X99
3x GTX 980 MSI G4
16GB DDR4 Teamgroup
1000W EVGA P2 1000W
Corsair h100i
Corsair 750d
WD 2 x 2TB
Kingston hyperx 480GB SSD
Other things I have tried:
Cleared CMOS
Resat CPU and tested with 1 ram stick at a time.
Motherboard does turn on and power up when nothing is in the PCI slot, so it is not a bad CPU. Beep code is also 1 long, 3 short, so it tells me no GPU is installed.
Any ideas? Or do I need to RMA something?
