hi,
hope someone could point me in the right direction...

just ordered a core pack, no premiums anywhere :( ...

i have a pretty decent sony tv though its not High definition.
I've looked at the different leads to buy seperate for the 360, as i want a good a picture as possible, and probably won't be getting that with the leads supplied in the Core...

so which 360 leads would be the best ones to buy for a normal telly with scart sockets?

cheers

thx m8...

there's loads though, no wonder i'm confused lol. taken from the website i am ordering from, which 1?

1/Official XBox 360 Component HD AV Cable
2/Official XBox 360 VGA AV Cable
3/Joytech XBox 360 Digital AV RGB SCART Cable
4/Joytech XBox 360 Digital AV Component Cable
5/Joytech XBox 360 Digital VGA Cable

Anyone in particular ?, not bothered about cost, just the right one.

If you could get the official Advanced RGB SCART cable, all the better. However the Joytech should be fine.

Thanks a lot matey, just ordered that one, might have a wait as its out of stock atm.
might appreciate more if i have to use the normal leads for a while...

is there much of a difference?

Definitely :) One is a blur fest, the other is pretty sharp :)

Yeah im using the Joytech one here, its a cracking lead, and yes you'll notice a difference going to a proper RGB Scart from the composite to Scart that you get with the pack, the colours will jump out at you, text will be more readable etc.... :)

Ah thats what i needed to know, i have a core pack and using the cable that came with that on my LG20" LCD TV and i wondered why it was a little blurry and couldnt read some of the text, so its worth investing in the actual scart cable then?

Cheers for your help guys, glad i asked now.

its going to be hard going waiting for the lead to arrive.

Ordered PGR3 and Call of Duty too can't bloody wait :D

Yeah definately, if you have an RGB scart socket on your Tv then the picture quality will look so much better, i was very suprised when i got mine, you don't need a HDTV, the quality is fantastic. :D

Btw, Comet have the official M$ ones in stock here :)

Text will also appear burry because it's being scaled down to a PAL picture from a 720p picture, but an Advanced SCART will definately give you a sharper picture. How sharp will depend on your TV though.

It actually looks more antialiased, than blurry tbh. Quality is really very good.
Of course the 720P real deal looks amazing, but we can't all have glorious 720P.... /goes off to buy Dell 2405FPW.

Well I've found the text on my 4:3, reasonably good quality Sony TV very blurry on some games, but fine on most dashboard stuff.

Really depends on the game you're playing though in the end I guess.

ud probs be better of getting the joytech as its easier to put audio thru a diff source. I put mine into my freeview box and have the audio running out of it, and even tho the scart is spose to be RGB the picture quality isnt as good as going directly into TV. Means i cant use the stereo then tho wish i had got the joytech so i could get best outta both.
