I'm quite happy with my display, no dust, no dead pixels and some bottom right bleed but I can live with that since it's not obvious in day to day use.

I do, however, have a different issue.

Whenever I switch the monitor off, all my windows get resized, and it's becoming a bit of a chore to set them up again on power on.

I run the PC 24/7 - but I'd like to be able to switch the monitor off without this issue.

Any ideas? I'm running the latest DP of Win10 and obviously using DisplayPort.

I don't have a driver installed for the monitor since there doesn't appear to be one available for Windows 10 yet - so it just reports to windows as a generic pnp monitor.

Cheers!

Does it happen when you turn the monitor on and off in short space of time?

I know with mine if it stays off for a certain period of time with computer still running it tends to move all the desktop icons to the other side of the monitor when I turn it back on. Like it does when you add another screen etc.

I just put it down to possibly something to do with the drivers and/or G-sync.

I think it might be a display port thing as my setup does the same with my BenQ XL2730Z on windows 7. My BenQ is connected as the primary display via DP but my second screen (old samsung 1080p) is connected via DVI and I can switch it on and off without windows moving fine.

i've seen that from quite a few displays when using DisplayPort. check your graphics drivers are up to date, and also i would give the Acer driver a go even if it's not Win10 signed to see if it helps

other than that you could just set display to go in to standby instead of powered off, as at <0.5W it's not really using any power anyway when in standby :)

I just checked - switching off and back on straight away doesn't have a problem.

I tried letting the PC go into standby and leaving the monitor on going into standby also - that results in resized windows.

I wanted to start putting the PC into standby since I moved Plex off onto a Microserver.

My old Windows 7 HTPC used to do the same when connected via HDMI through an amplifier. I forget the reason behind it but I ended up buying an HDMI detective which fooled Windows into thinking that the display was always connected.

It's a bit odd - I had asked on another forum and someone said they were using Windows 10 also with this monitor and didn't have the issue.

Driver is the latest Nvidia Windows 10 driver..
