Oh dear , ive been getting a few lock ups today on my 360 while trying to stream films from my pc , at first i thought the lock ups where because of wrong settings in win 7 but then just now i went to reset it and i got 3 red rings :(

Ive removed the power cable and plugged it back in, i did abit of googling but no answers really , i noticed the LED on the pwer supply is green when the the console is switched on

the machine is about 3 years old so probably well out of warranty :(


what are my options to fix this issue ?
 
wtf ive been getting green lines,squares and freezing ive used my xbox for what 48hrs in the 2 years ive had it but on there repair site it says out of warrenty unless i get 3 red rings this is crap im going to trading standerds.

Just put it in the oven until it overheats and it'll get the RROD. Unethical, but it'll get your 360 fixed. :D

ive been told allso to cover it in a towle ? any one want to comment here i think its wrong that its not coverd tbh when they are prone to over heating in my case its the gpu not cpu still bloody faulty tho.

i must have used my xbox less then peeps who have purchased theres this year.

This maybe a stupid question but when i send the console back do i include the power supply ?

i know u remove disks , the HHD and AV leads but not sure bout the power

Just send the bare box back.
 
I don't think there's a company called trading standerds, if there is then they may just look into warrenties.
On the other hand, Trading Standards do look into such things as warranties.

wrap it in a towel, turn it on leave it a while till it Red Lights ;)

then send it off.

well got home from work turned xbox on wooot rrod then turned it off.
1hrt later thought i will check it doh its been ok for about 10mins then i get diff error green lined down screen and freezing god damn it why wont it die hehe.does one rrod count for rma? will they take it or do they 100% have to see it?
