I have been playing loads online (got the 2 star rank online in bad company last night :D:D) yet my rep is still only 3 stars???

Its bugging me... when/how will it increase?

People leave you pos feed back. I think its suppose to go up by its self the more you play on line as well.

mines like 80% odd avoided. and 20% of the people either liked me or didnt leave a review. Dont belive those fiqures for a second though.

Just ignore it and play over time. :) If your friendly enough people will add you as a preferred player.

However, I don't think it works well as a system. I don't think I've ever seen anyone without a 5 star rating that's been playing online for a while.

I was playing halo wars the other night I avoided 2 players next 4 games I played the same two players! O it was the mac blast trick thing! grr

I was going to say, i cant see people taking the time out to add people to prefered players tbh... unless its some mates that you know

I honestly cant believe people after playing with you would personally go into your profile and rate you as a good player or whatever its called.

After you finish a match with someone you just go right into the next game, you dont hang around for 10 mins after approving them each.

That's why it improves your rating over time. The main reason the system is there imo is that (as far as i know) if you rate someone poorly the matchmaking in games will avoid pairing you up with that player again. It's effectively an ignore feature i think.

If I really enjoy playing with someone I do. It takes about 30 seconds.

The system only fails, if people fail to use it imo. :)

If you want it up fast just get 5 people from here to add you as a friend and then prefer you as a good player - it'll go straight up

Personally I don't use it as a "prefered" player, but will often use it as an "avoided" player for when entering random matches.

Had a few cases last week of idiots on Burnout Paradise, the usual screaming and insulting crap that's sprouted, so just avoided them and haven't seen them since in random matches.

Don't think it's 100%, but it seems to do it's job as I tend to enter more matches with people I remember playing a few days/weeks ago rather than the avoided ones.

That's exactly what I do, just set people to 'avoided' if they annoy me in a game, seems to work.

Nobody updates it anymore. Except to avoid annoying folk. Some of the early games automatically left positive feedback at the end of each session, but I don't think many do that anymore either.

Well, anyone on bad company tonight? add me on XBL - freshage and lets have a game, i will leave the choice of pos feedback to you guys :)

(sorry for the late reply, just had a deadly boring meeting :( )
