Was kinda hoping for Sensi Soccer, but the best 2d sonic game isnt a bad substitute.

the best alternative is just to buy Sonic Mega Collection plus for the xbox as it works perfectly over backwards compatability, can be had for around £10 in most places and comes with:

Do you know if that collection had the games running at 60hz or were they just the orignal PAL versions re-released?

Whilst Sonic 3 had levels which were too long, Sonic and Knuckles got the mix perfect. Add in Sonic 3's game saving capabilities..... and there you have it. Masterpiece.

I mean come on..... HYPER SONIC ANYONE?

It does, though you have to unlock it. From gamefaqs..

"Play Sonic 3 20 times and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times" then you can play Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

Wonder if one of the achievements will be to collect all the chaos emeralds and gain Super Sonic status before the end of the very first act - that's what I used to be able to do on the Mega Drive, much to the impression of friends.
