Go to XBMCAndroid.com for information on XBMC on android and compatibility of devices. Suffice it to say XBMC on Android is in its infancy. There is only one device (the Pivos, although some other devices with a similar chipset can be flashed I believe) that currently has hardware acceleration (and with it HD is a non starter).
As far as I can see there are a HUGE number of boxes and sticks with similar specifications all claiming XBMC compatibility however NONE of them can manage HD in software. Even the most powerful Android devices I know of- the Odroid U2 and X2, which use the chipset from the Samsung Note 2 can't manage in software only even overclocked.
Best to wait until the XBMC devs include some more hardware acceleration... I understand they have committed to it to support the Ouya (which is Tegra 3). or spend a little more and go for something like a Pulsebox or Revo running Openelec.
Edited to add that the box linked to above appears to be a clone of the Pivos (and much cheaper than the Euro version of the Pivos) however even then all won't be perfect, many Pivos users use a Linux distro on their devices rather than the XBMC Android .apk.
