I have over 200 films on my computer. How can i get xbmc to get the movie information for these all at once and not having to do them individually?

I don't know how you've set it up, but add the folder containing all your movies to the XBMC videos section, on the settings screen for that folder you should have an option to 'Set Content', set it to themoviedb click ok to get back to the video's section, then right click on the folder you just added and select scan.

One thing you might have to take into account is some of the options when you add the folder for example 'recursive scanning' which means that it will delve into all the sub directories in that folder looking for your movies.

Hope this helps!

There should be an option for automatic update/scanning not sure if it's under system or video options menu. But tick that, close the application and re-open and it should start automatically start updating your media. If that does work you might just needs to set the content of the directory you added so it knows what media it is.

To do that right click the folder in non 'library' mode and click set content I believe it is the. Select movies then it may do the scan itself or do as I said about about the automatic updating/scanning option.
