XBMC, weird problem with an Asus xonar sound card.

Ive been using XMBC for a while without any problems, i'm using frodo. I mainly use Navi-X for streaming, today i installed a new sound card which is an Asus Xonar D2X, ive had nothing but problems trying to use Navi-X.

I can load XBMC without a problem, the second i go to try and watch any online content or video it freezes. It loads up then plays stuttery without any sound for about 8 seconds then it just freezes. If i take the sound card out everything works perfectly like it did before i installed the card. The driver is the latest one from the Asus site.

Anyone got any ideas ?

almost sounds like a good old fashioned IRQ conflict!

To be honest, I would be tempted to return it. Do you have another computer you can test it in?

I'm far from being an expert in this area, can you spot anything obvious here ?

i had that problem i think i changed the sound to analogue in the settings....
