I've download XMBC 13.1 Gotham to use on my Dell Insprion laptop that'll be hooked up to my TV

Its an i7, 16GB memory with dedicated graphics so is more than capable of HD playback however, I'm suffering from lots of buffering during playback

What would be causing this and what can I do to resolve the issue?

Yeah all set to hardware

playback is smooth for several minutes then buffers, its like watching a video on youtue

As a precaution and because it was HD videos I had it connected with wires on the network

Checked the graphics drivers and they're up to date so will check audit and try adjusting to WASAPI when I get in

Updated graphic and sound drivers but no change.

Laptop is connected to routed via ethernet cable and still no change

I also have a Lenovo media PC that used to have XBMC on that I used to use as the main media PC and that now also suffers from buffering
