I'm at my sisters up in Lincoln and I'm looking after her kids. As a thank you, she got me an Xbone controller as she remembers me moaning about my worn out 360 controllers.

So, before I head home tonight and test it out, will it work with the wireless receiver I have? If not, I'll take it back to the place she bought it from before I leave.

As for the controller it's self, I think I prefer the feel of it. It's certainty catered towards tiny hands. So mine sort of clumber over it like large shovels. The 2 shoulder buttons have very different 'clicks'. The right being a lot louder and sharper than the left. The sticks are lighter and smaller. But feel... 'tighter'?

Thoughts? Anyone else upgraded to the new controller? Any compatability issues with games? I assume it's button layout would be identical to previous games.

I'll return it then... As I sit on the sofa and game with the 360 pad viewing a 50" plasma.

That's a real shame.

Keep it and get a long USB cable? Your hands will forgive you after a few hours.

Do the original drivers work? Do games recognise it as a 360 controller? As if there is one thing I love with the 360 controller is the effortless and seamless transition most games have. You turn the controller on and the UI updates to the 360 layout and button prompts etc. If it does that. Then maybe. I already have long (5m) USB cables.

I've decided to return it and stick the funds towards a Wii U I've been craving for a while (no consoles anymore). I'll certainty be picking up a xbone controller the moment they sort wireless out. I love the feel of it.
